Hydraulic Modelling

Hydraulic modelling is a specialist service we provide to assess and manage flood and water-related risks. We use TUFLOW and HEC-RAS  to simulate and better understand how water flows through rivers, floodplains, surface water systems, and the built environment. 

We model fluvial and pluvial flooding as standard, and undertake coastal flood modelling on a project-specific basis. 

In addition to flood modelling, we carry out scenario-based hydraulic assessments, including events involving containment failure such as storage tank collapse, overtopping, or jetting, as well as fire incidents to understand how firewater and foam will drain and spread across a site. These assessments support risk management plans.
